M Sophia has recently been referred to as a Style Maven and fondly enjoys the title “The Original Bohypsian” (exuding a boho, hip, gypsy style). Sophia has forty plus years as an exhibiting textile artist, costumer and wardrobe mistress in professional theatres (Repertory, Shakespeare, Opera). Her schooling in art history and design have paved the way for Sophia to offer her services as STYLIST in her latest creative incarnation.

Style, says Sophia, is an innate sense of instinctive coordination: bringing color, pattern and pop directly from seeing what excites the eye in nature!

As a young adult Sophia was selected in her schooling years to represent The Fashion Board at Woodword + Lothrop in DC where she learned the craft of style by watching her mentor. In addition to style, Sophia learned her sense of presentation in this setting as a still-life and runway model. With her multiple skill sets acquired from the 70s and through to the present, Sophia has modeled style, most recently in Portland’s 2016 Museum Fashion and Style Awards.

Currently Sophia’s interest lies in mentoring young and mature women who are excited about Sophia’s contagious enthusiasm for style, applying her vast knowledge and expertise. Sophia is responding to this interest by providing personalized sessions to explore her Client’s specific interests and needs.

In addition to providing personal styling sessions, Sophia is particularly oriented to provide aesthetic guidance in media projects as an independent contractor.
