I encourage my language students to take advantage of learning from a native speaker of both English & Spanish - I was raised throughout Latin America, moved to the USA at age 16 - I have lived in Costa Rica, Colombia and Argentina.  I am an American English and Spanish Teacher as well as a life-long student of languages: I also speak, read and write in French and Brazilian Portuguese.  I worked for forty years as a Medical and Legal Spanish and Portuguese Translator and Interpreter in New Orleans, California, throughout Texas as well as in Oregon.

I understand the challenges and needs of language learners well from my first hand experience. I can create a custom learning plan to address the needs of each individual. My particular focus and talent lies in pronunciation nuance, and how to sound at home and local within a new language. I tailor the needs of each student to the situation of highest priority in their language learning needs.

-Cultural competencies like small talk and personal / business relationship skills will also be developed.
